Something I learned about high profile tires: They’ll bulge out so nicely that the protect my rims from sidewalks! My Subaru rims are pristine haha.

Just get proper/decent width tyres with the sidewall protector rib and they rub that before the rim. No need for spongy sidewall bulge!

I hateee these low pros. The wheels are amazing but I wish they fit the 16" instead of humongous 18". Plus the stock Kumhos have a skinnier tread width than rim width...leading to this.

Looks like a little black paint and it will be almost completely unnoticeable. My car got its wheels cleaned for the first time in a while today which makes the old curb rash incredibly noticeable (I got lazy about putting on my snow tires and slid it into a curb, frankly I’m lucky the wheel didn’t need to be replaced)

+1 for Veloster Rally Edition. Just drove one last week and it was a blast. Sorry about the wheel though, that’s annoying. :(

Wheels, my dear friend, are consumables. Just think about them like that and when the sidewalk consumes them, you’ll feel like “yes, this is right with the world and was going to happen anyways.”
